What is eShop?
eShop is a revolutionary shopping cart that seamlessly integrates with your existing website. It can also be added to your page on social media networks, such as Facebook or mySpace. Although it’s packed with high-value features, eShop is easy to use.

It couldn’t be simpler-just insert a few lines of code to any page of your website or profile page, and your online store immediately appears. Behind the scenes, the eShop engine completes all transactions leveraging the power and security of Amazon EC2 servers. eShop boasts a robust feature set you simply won’t find on other shopping carts.
Do you charge the transaction fee from our sales?
No, we do not charge a transaction fee from your sales. Irrespective of which plan you select - we don't get a cent on transactions or sales.
Where is my data stored physically?
We rely on Amazon EC2 to store eShop data and applications.
How can I change the looks of my eShop store?
The CSS editor in the eShop admin interface allows you to customize the looks. Some basic HTML and CSS knowledge is necessary to apply this level of customisation.
eShop is AJAX-based. That's good for customers, but is it good for search engines?
Most AJAX applications do have problems with search engine optimization. But we take SEO seriously, that's why eShop uses the Google's AJAX indexing specification supported by the most popular search engines: Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex. As a result, eShop has advantages from both worlds: dynamic AJAX and old-school plain-HTML. It is faster than usual shopping carts, can be installed to any website and mirrored to many places because of its AJAX nature and it can be natively indexed by Google just as usual HTML website.
eShop has a dedicated version for mobile devices. It uses plain HTML and is compatible with any web browser in the world. Does eShop comply with PCI/PA DSS standards? It does not have to. These standards apply to systems that transmit process or store credit card information. eShop uses third party payment systems to process credit cards: Google Checkout, Paypal, Authorize.NET, and 2CheckOut. Even if you use an onsite card processing payment modules like PayPal Payflow Link or e-Path with eShop, your eShop store automatically meets PCI standards because those payment gateways handle all the data security on their side. We use PCI DSS compliant providers only.
What if I need a custom feature added to eShop?

Where can I find user manual for eShop?
There is no manual. We believe that if a product requires a user manual, then it's not user-friendly enough already. We want eShop to be obvious to the user. So if you have found something complicated and need information, please ask a question by contacting our Support team and we will be happy to help. Our objective is constant refinement - taking your feedback and improving our product so that you can use it effectively without having to refer to any books or manuals
Does eShop support Polls? Newsletters? Does it have a CMS built in?
No. We use an approach completely different from an average PHP shopping cart. Instead of trying to put all possible site features into one product, we made a product that would be absolutely the best at just one thing: it's the best shopping cart software available. And as eShop can be added to any web site, you can use it with any CMS system you like, use whatever newsletter management software or service you think is the best, and so on. It gives you the flexibility to use it as one great component among many.
How can I change my COUNTRY PRODUCT NAME’ username (nickname)?
- If you want to change the username (nickname), please follow these steps:
- Log in to eShop Control Panel.
- Go to the "My Profile" page.
- Edit the "Community Nickname" option and save the changes.
How can I change my avatar?

Adding eShop to Your Site: 3 Easy Steps
To begin, you’ll need to create a free eShop account. You can either enter a new username/password or log in using your information from another account, such as Facebook or Google. Log into your eShop control panel. Open the Dashboard page, select the integration code, and hit Ctrl-C or right-click and select “Copy”. Back in the source code of your site, paste in the copied code and refresh the page. Your full-featured store will appear immediately.
If you use a major Content Management System, such as WordPress, Joomla or Drupal, the installation is even easier with our ready modules. If you don’t have a site yet and would like to consolidate tasks, you can use one of the following platforms to create your site: 1and1, Adobe Muse, Blogger, Edicy, ModX, Squarespace, Tumblr, Webydo, or Weebly.
Adding Products & Categories
Begin by logging into your eShop control panel and clicking on the Catalog page. There, you will see some demo products and categories. Feel free to remove them and add your own.
If your products have many images, use the “Gallery” feature for easy browsing. You can also specify additional product options, such as size and color.
Setting Up Your Store
Now that you’ve added the functionality and the products/categories, go to the System Setting page of your store’s control panel. Set your store’s currency and name at System settings → General Store → Profile and System settings → General Store → Formats & Units pages.
Next, you’ll need to set up shipping rates, taxes, and payment options.
Customize Your Store’s Look
By default, eShop is designed to display optimally in most website browsers and versions. However, you can easily change the appearance of your online store using CSS (cascading style sheets).
Simply open the eShop control panel and proceed to: System Settings → Design → CSS Themes. There, you can choose from several pre-defined templates or create your own custom version.

How do I change the design ? What can be changed and what's not ?
Current version of eShop allows you to change CSS styles of customer front-end. HTML is not available for editing. That's made to ensure that you are able to upgrade easily. We believe that most HTML changes people do are outside of eShop boundaries. eShop does not need those "change header HTML / change footer HTML" functionality. The site owner can change the looks of the whole site. CSS capabilities are more than enough to allow you to make eShop match the design of the rest of your site. In most cases, you won't have to edit anything, not even the CSS. Just pick one of pre-defined schemes. eShop is designed to fit well in most sites. So, what you can change are colors, fonts, margins and images. What you can't change is interface logic.
How do I change eShop CSS?
Open eShop control panel and proceed to: System Settings → Design → CSS Themes
You can pick from pre-defined schemes or create your custom version. You can find the list of all styles used by eShop at the gray "Base CSS Theme" window at the page bottom.
Any style you specify will override the default one.
In order to create your custom scheme:
Click "New CSS Theme"
Copy the classes you want to override from the bottom window to upper one. Important: please don't copy the whole base theme to a custom one - you should copy only the rules that you want to change.
Change the classes as you wish.
Name and activate your scheme.
Save changes (click the 'Save' button)
Reload customer interface page if it's open in your browser
Example: copy the ".’COUNTRY PRODUCT NAME’-minicart-caption" class and change color from #4B5660 to #ff0000. "Shopping Bag" label inside Minicart Widget will turn red.
You can also create your own CSS styles and use them in HTML product descriptions.
How do I know the CSS style name for the design element I want to change?

How do I target my CSS changes to some particular page or pages in eShop?

How do I change the images used in UI?
You can do it by changing corresponding CSS style. For example, in order to change the bag icon in Minicart Widget, you need to:
Make sure your new icon is available on the Web. You can upload it to your web hosting or use image hosting like Flickr.
Find the CSS class that defines the icon. You can easily do it with Firebug, try it! If you do everything right, you'll find out that style name for the bag image is .’COUNTRY PRODUCT NAME’-minicart.
Change the background URL to your image URL (from icons/minicart.png to http://yoursite.com/yourimage.png).
Name and activate your scheme
Save changes and hit "reload" to see the changes in your shop.

I want the same icons you use, but in different color
Not a problem at all! Take the archive with PSD files and open them in Adobe Photoshop or GNU GIMP. You can alter any colors then save image as GIF/PNG/JPEG. These files are © 2009 Creative Development. But you are free to alter and use them as long as you do that for purposes of customizing your eShop store.
There are so many styles ! I want to make my custom color scheme quick, how do I pick a set of styles need changing?
There are several pre-defined CSS schemes in eShop. All schemes except the basic one are made as changes to the basic. So you can use them as a shortlist of styles need changing. You can also use this 3d-party service to generate your new color theme quickly: www.ianholden.com/eshop_designer_home
Oops. I did something wrong to CSS and messed up my store. How do I revert changes?
Just activate the standard scheme. It's empty and that means it does not override the basic CSS.
